Let’s talk about flower boxes!

I saw this photo of photographer Slim Aarons helping his daughter Mary in a headstand on the 4th of July, and I thought it was so unique. I specifically became obsessed with those flower boxes. I haven’t seen a ton of flower boxes on the second story, but I love it!

I think there are three key components to a GREAT flower box. You need a flow-er (a plant that’s going to drape over the sides), a filler (something to fill the box), and you need a show-er (a tall plant that gives the ensemble some height).
